#18 Colorado Mines makes it three straight with an 83-59 win over Sioux Falls

GOLDEN, Colo. – The 18th-ranked Colorado School of Mines men's basketball team picked up its third straight win defeating the University of Sioux Falls by a score of 83-59 on Friday night at Lockridge Arena.

CSM scored seven unanswered points to start the game and quickly saw its lead increase to 16 points following a layup by Brett Green with 10:19 left in the first half.

The Cougars would briefly cut the lead to single digits with a 9-2 run making it 26-17 with 6:45 remaining in the half. A three by Brian Muller and a pair of free throws pushed the Oredigger lead back to double digits.

Ahead by 15 to begin the second half, Mines out-scored USF 17-8 in the first 8:15 to increase the lead to 24 points on the Jacob Case three pointer with 11:45 on the clock running away with the game in the second half.

Green led all scorers with 22 points (6-of-9 FG) to go along with six rebounds. Muller finished with 13 points and five rebounds. Dale Minschwaner contributed 12 points and eight rebounds in the win. Chris Goutama dished out six assists and Trevor Wages added eight points and eight rebounds as the Orediggers held a 40 to 25 advantage on the boards.

The Orediggers (3-0 overall) will host Northern New Mexico, tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 26th at 7:00 pm at Lockridge Arena.
