#4 Mines picks up 5-0 win on the road against Adams State

ALAMOSA, Colo. – The fourth-ranked Colorado School of Mines men's soccer team scored four second-half goals in route to a 5-0 win in RMAC men's soccer action on the road at Murphy Field on Friday afternoon.

Tesho Akindele scored in his sixth straight game putting home his RMAC-leading 18th goal of the season in the fourth minute of the match off the rebound on a shot by Alex Nass. The goal by Akindele tied the CSM men's soccer single-season record for goals. The assist was Nass' sixth of the season.

Mines would score the remainder of its goals in the second half beginning in the 60th minute when Trevor Braun scored off a corner kick for her first goal of the season.

Seun Ogunmodede scored the next two goals for Mines brining his season total to four. Chike Sullivan played a ball into the box right in front of the goal for Ogunmodede in the 69th minute. The assist was Sullivan's RMAC-leading 11th of the season.

Zach Page-Belknap played a long pass to Ogunmodede in the 78th minute for the goal as Page-Belknap tallied his first assist of the season.

Baski Baker made the score 5-0 in favor of Mines in the 86th minute as Akindele found Baker in the box who turned and fired a shot into the back of the net for his 11th goal of the year. The assist was Akindele's fifth of the 2010 campaign.
CSM recorded 32 shots in the match, 17 of which were on goal, while Adams State recorded just five shots. It was the 11th shutout of the season for Mines.

The fourth-ranked Orediggers (15-1-1, 12-1-1 RMAC) clinched the RMAC Regular-Season Championship last week and will host the RMAC Tournament as the #1 seed. CSM will have a bye for the first round and will play either the #4 or #5 next Friday, Nov. 5th at 11:00 am. The winner will advance to the RMAC Tournament Championship on Sunday, Nov, 7th at 12:00 pm.
