#23 Orediggers unable to erase first half deficit in 3-2 loss to Regis University

DENVER, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines men's soccer team trailed 3-1 at the half and were unable to mount a comeback in route to a 3-2 loss to Regis University on Sunday afternoon in RMAC action.

Regis scored just 4:44 into the match as Pat Freeman won the battle with goalkeeper Manville Strand. Mines found an equalizer in the 20th minute when Baski Baker headed home the cross from Zach Page-Belknap.

The Rangers would add two more goals before the end of the half. Kyle Emge scored on the assist from Martin Maybin in the 31st minute. Less than a minute before the end of the half Ben Buhler made it 3-1 in favor of Regis.

CSM scored one more time in the 88th minute this time it was Tesho Akindele from Alex Nass but the Orediggers ran out of time unable to find a game-tying goal.

#23 CSM (9-5-1, 7-4-1 RMAC) will closeout the regular season on Friday evening, Oct. 28th at home against Adams State at 6:00 pm. It will be Parent's Night as well as Senior Night for Philip Wilson, Cale Haas and Damir Trncic.
